To my delight, my copy of this book arrived just in time for Earth Day! I’ve owned it for one day and have read it at least ten times. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading Thank You, Earth yet, take a look and get the book. You are in for a real treat!

Summary

Water, air, light.
Patterns, curves, shapes, colors.
Things that crawl, fly, float, run, bloom, ripen.
Think of everything Earth gives us. What are you thankful for?

Why I love this book

Thank you for colors and coastlines and beach. Thank you for tiny and towering. For trees and vines that reach.

The story begins, “Dear Earth,” and an endearing love letter follows. From the stunning front cover to the back matter which guides children (and adults) in ways they can participate in conservation projects, Thank You, Earth is a feast for the eyes and ears!

I am grateful for every day that I get to step outside and spend time with nature whether I am digging in my garden, watching dolphins play in the ocean or hiking through the woods. I appreciate those, like April Pulley Sayre, with her lovely poetry and striking colorful photographs who remind us so beautifully to enjoy what Earth has to offer but to be kind, give back and take care of her.  You’ll love this hit for Earth Day and every day!
